Stop Wasting Your Money With Google Adwords
By Robert WalterI don't want to discourage anyone from using Adwords. It is a great medium for getting exposure for your business. I would like to discuss a few common money wasting mistakes that newbies make when they first start advertising with Adwords.
Bidding to High - This is a very common mistake overzealous newbies bid high not knowing how well their website will convert into sales. They bid high and get a lot of traffic before they know how to set up their account properly. Bid as low as possible. If you find that Google Adwords has set your minimum bid high learn more about quality score and how having a high quality score can reduce your minimum bids significantly.
Advertising on The Content Network - The content network usually has a much lower quality of traffic than the Advertising network. Make sure you uncheck this item in your campaign settings. When you get more experience with Adwords the content network can be used for more exposure. Most successful advertisers bid extremely low on the Content Network.
Monitoring Your Account - Sometimes newbies will make the mistake of setting up their account and not checking it for a while. When they do check it they have spent much more money than they planned. Keep a close eye on your account checking it frequently after you set it up.
If you follow the steps above you will not waste your advertising budget.
