Cancel Pay Per Click to My Website

Many people try pay per click search engines and end up losing more than they make. This raises the rather fundamental question how to cancel pay per click to my website?

Your pay per click campaign is a disaster. You've tried everything. You've tested enough ads to write a small book. You've raised your bids. You've lowered your bids. You've sacrificed a chicken! Nothing seems to work. It might be the economic environment or it might just be that your product or service is not PPC friendly. Whatever the reason, you want to cancel the pay per click to your website. So, how do you do it? There are a couple of different situations and answers.

The first scenario involves one where you've hired someone to run the campaign for you. In such a situation, you undoubtedly signed a contract or agreed to some terms. You need to read that agreement to find out what the termination provision says. Some require you stay with the program for a while and some let you cancel just by sending in an email. It pretty much comes down to what you agreed upon originally, so follow those guidelines.

The second scenario involves a pay per click campaign you been running yourself. Canceling would seem a simple thing, but you'll notice that there is no “cancel” button on most search engines. Instead, you have to sort of deconstruct your advertisements. The way I do it is to simply place my ads on hold. Eventually, the pay per click search engine will threaten to close your account and you can just let them do it. Why not just delete your ads? Well, you might change your mind and decide to fire the campaign back up.

Now comes the aggravating part. Let's say you've deposited $1,000 into the Yahoo program. You've only spent $375 so far. How do you get a refund of the $625 you have left? You don't. When you signed up, you agreed to a no deposit return policy. Oh, joy! The only option is to either save the money for a later campaign or use it up on your current efforts.

Pay per click search engines make it easy to sign up, but not so easy to cancel. Follow the above and you shouldn't have to many problems.
